South Riding Homes for Sale in Virginia

South Riding homes are in Chantilly, Virginia, opened in June, 1995. It is an unincorporated planned community. Population is around 15,000 and there are about 6,000 homes. There is a strong hometown feel to South Riding. During the summer on Fridays there is an outdoor band where you can enjoy seeing family and friends as well as live music. The ability to walk to any number of stores, restaurants, pools, schools and other amenities is priceless.

South Riding Location

The community borders Rt. 50, and is close to Route 28 and the Dulles Toll Road. Dulles airport is also very close. Of course if you wish to head to Leesburg you can easily take route 15 which is also close by. Also for going downtown you can take Rt. 50 to Route 66 or even the Toll Road to Route 66. There are any number of other roads to lead you into D.C. , Arlington, and other local areas for work or play. Of course you can always shoot into Manassas as well, rather quickly.

Schools
Within the South Riding community are five schools, three elementary schools, a high school and a middle school. The Parent Teacher Associations are extremely well run and keep everyone involved. Many of the schools are only a year, or a couple years, new. The faculty is exceptional and the close ties to the community are invaluable.

Families
For families there are day care centers. There is a mix of day care, some have private kindergarden and other grades on the premise. Others have programs that assist the children after school with homework as well as programs involving physical activites such as karate.

South Riding homes can be found around the golf course as well, you can also find a private golf course and Belmont homes around a golf course as well.
